Challenge

Most speed-reading tools feel mechanical and punish users who need to pause, rewind, or change pace. The product needed to feel supportive instead of rigid.

Approach

I designed adaptive controls with clear visual feedback so users can tune the experience in real time. Every setting update is instant and persistent, reducing friction during longer sessions.

Outcome

Bioreader became easier to stick with. Users completed longer reading sessions and returned more frequently week over week.
